July 8, 2013:

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Central New York Chapter is proud to announce that JGB Enterprises, a Liverpool based supplier of hoses and hose assemblies, has agreed to match all gifts to the Partners in Progress Campaign up to a total of $5,000.

Gifts matched by JGB Enterprises will go the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Annual Fund Campaign "Partners in Progress". "The Central New York Chapter's ambitious campaign goal is $20,000 and the Board, staff and volunteers are working diligently to make that goal," reports Karen Ferguson, Executive Director for the local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation chapter. "We are grateful to JGB Enterprises for joining us in this life saving mission and inspiring others to make gifts with their offer to match those donations."

"JGB Enterprises, and its subsidiary companies, are proud to support the efforts of the CNY Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in reaching its Annual Fund goal and to help find a cure for this disease" said Erica Pigula, Interior Designer for JGB Properties.

Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that ravages the lungs and digestive system. The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. We do that right here in our own community, across the state and around the country. In Central New York we are fortunate to have a CF Foundation certified Care Center right here at Upstate Medical University were research is being performed and CF patients receive optimal care.

In February of 2012 the FDA approved the first ever drug that address the root cause of CF, but it works only for 4% of the cystic fibrosis population. "Our goal is to raise the much needs funds to further that research for a cure that will work for ALL CF patients" said Chuck Hurley, Chair for the Partners in Progress Campaign. The Foundation relies on donations to provide the vital resources to carry out their mission to cure and control CF, day in and day out. The financial support can advance new treatments from the test tube to the patients who need them. To donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Annual Fund go to
